Meal Delivery Update - Deliciously Clean Eats
Meal Delivery Update 2

Why has the meal delivery day changed?

With the new year here, team DCE has been busy looking at ways of ensuring our meals stay as fresh as possible for as long as possible. As of Tuesday 16th Jan, meals will last fresh for 7-8 days! This is made possible by an innovative new packaging machine, MAP packaging.

What is MAP packaging?

Well, we are currently in the process of installing a MAP packaging machine. Modified Atmospheric Packaging utilizes innovative processes which modify the air within a meal package to slow down the process of food spoilage. This will ensure food stays fresh and safe to eat for longer, without adding any nasties.

How does it benefit me?

MAP packaging will allow more flexibility with DCE meal production, DCE meal deliveries and DCE customer ordering. This new process will bring about many benefits including:

  • Allowing meals to STAY FRESH FOR ALL DAYS BETWEEN MEAL DELIVERIES. So, you will be able to enjoy a fresh DCE meal at the end of the week, over the weekend, and into the following week.
  • Meals can still be frozen for convenience if you plan on keeping the meals for longer than 7 days.
  • DCE coffee retail will now be stoked with prepackaged meals 5 days a week. Monday’s just got a whole lot better!

When can I expect the change in packaging?

As of next week, Tuesday 9th Jan, all meal deliveries will be made on a Tuesday’s afternoon between 1pm-7pm. MAP packaging changes will commence in the new year and be effective as of Tuesday 16th Jan.

Changing of processes always takes some adjusting, and we are here to answer any questions you may have.
